Hi! I'm Brayden, an artist currently based in Newfoundland. I work with visual media alongside my musical practice under the "bp iv" alias.
With my art, I try to emphasize human emotion in all its forms, no matter how it reaches you. I want my art to feel personally addressing in its presence, like a letter from a loved one. As images become increasingly disposable, I want to explore the potential relationships artworks can have with their viewers in a contemporary setting by allowing space for sentiment combined with visual deconstruction and recontextualization. The digital, long-distance practice I've adopted for much of my artwork, especially my music, has inspired a deep interest in considering the place of physical art alongside the presence of the internet's influence in our current world.
